Final Four Events - Final Four Contest

The championship games are certainly the focal point for all fans of the Final Four, but there are several events surrounding the weekend that goes well beyond basketball and has something to offer for everyone!. The NCAA has created the opportunity for a host city to involve both youth and adult basketball fans with events such as the FREE Open Practice, Dome Dribble to Hoop City, The Big Dance, the River Rally, the Final Four 5K, , "YES" Clinics and NCAA Hoop City.

One of the newest and biggest highlights for San Antonio is an event that has transformed the Final Four over the past few years from a crowd-pleasing, weekend basketball championship to a 4-day fan festival sure to take your Final Four experience to new heights!. The Big Dance is open to the general public and will include headlining musical acts in a festival-type atmosphere during the 4 days of the Championship. Tournament goers and locals alike will enjoy this large scale street fair for FREE. Stay tuned to for a schedule of events and list of performers.

Free Open Practice sessions offer the opportunity for fans to see some of College Basketball's elite coaches and student athletes in action. During these sessions, each of the Final Four teams will conduct an individual practice. This will be a great way for those without tickets to see the Alamodome and sneak a peak of the talent visiting our city.

Want more basketball excitement? Check out the NABC All-Star Game in the Alamodome, Friday after Open Practice! The NABC All-Star Game will showcase many of this year's top senior performers. After several years of battling the Harlem Globetrotters, the All-Star game is returning to its roots and will feature top student-athletes paired off against each other.

YES Clinics, the Youth Education through Sports (YES) Program is the NCAA's premiere outreach to youth across the country. Held at select NCAA championship sites (approximately 20 each year), thousands of youths ages 10 to 16 annually are exposed to YES Clinics in a variety of sports, including football, softball, basketball, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, ice hockey, volleyball and field hockey. YES Clinics annually attract the best and brightest coaches and student-athletes who are dedicated to teaching and caring for youth.

The Dome Dribble to Hoop City is a great event for the NCAA's youngest basketball fans. There will be 3,000 little dribblers making their way around the Alamodome to the Convention Center for Hoop City. Not only is it a free event, participants will receive a basketball, t-shirt and entrance into Hoop City.

If you want to test your own basketball skills, NCAA Hoop City is an interactive celebration showcasing the excitement and fanfare of NCAA championships. At Hoop City, fans of all ages can run, jump, shoot and play until the final buzzer! When we say there's something for everybody, we really mean it. There's fun competitions, basketball clinics, prizes, autograph sessions with NCAA coaches and great players of the past, surprise appearances and so much more.
